We are pleased to introduce our new API, making it easier than ever to link meter readings into your own apps.

Are you developing a new app or using another system to process meter readings, perhaps for energy management or billing?

For many years we have provided automatic data export via email, FTP, SFTP and FTPS. Always striving to improve our service, we have added the MeterOnline API (Application Programming Interface). This opens up many new possibilities for integration with other systems which use and process readings from energy meters.

MeterOnline API Capabilities

Included within the normal subscription are…

1. Get information for all meters in an account.

2. Obtain a kWh total reading for a specified date.

3. Return half hourly kW readings between two specified dates, up to a 1-year period.

4. Return half hourly kWh total readings between two specified dates, up to a 1-year period.

5. Read a meter on request in real time.

Go to ‘Authorise’ and enter your username and API password. (The API password is set via ‘Account Management’ – ‘Update Api Password’, when logged into your MeterOnline account).
